All kinds of animals, for example cats, dogs and horses has been part of my life since I was using diapers. In 1998 was turning point of our life when we got our first miniature schnauzer, Ferrari pet named “Aatu”. We studied more about the breed by buying another male, FIN & S CH Backout´s Jaegermeister, “Jere”. In the year 2001 we got our first female, INT & FIN & S & N & NORD CH & Finnsieger Backout´s Quincy, “Wilma”. She became as our foundation bitch. Kennelname Svartheim´s was granted at the same year. Our first litter was born in 2003. Even though kennelname is only in my name, my live-in partner J-P gives a great help on daily nursing of our dogs and puppies. Me and my dogs participate actively in dog shows. We go to shows once or twice per year also at abroad. My breeded dogs have achieved this far: international, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Estonian and Nordic champion titles. On top of everything else Jere and Wilma has been awarded as Finnish Miniature Schnauzer Club's Dog of the Year titles in 2000 and 2003.
In our home lives at the moment 6 girls, Wilma, Lara,
Siiri, Hellga, Kerttu and Alma.
Our dogs are our family members and lead a happy normal life by
being interested in shows, trace, obedience, taking sauna baths
and laying in sofa. High quality is more important criterion than just increasing quantity. That´s why our every litter is planned carefully. Our breeding policy is to use in breeding only dogs who are examined as healthy, meet the breed standard and are awarded in shows. Our goal is to breed healthy, good charactered family dogs which are also qualified in shows and other activities.
